PsychSkills, as the name suggests, is a group-based program centred on psychological and life skill building. The program focuses on several core skills: self-reflection, optimal activation, meditation, progressive muscular relaxation, goal setting, self-talk, self-confidence, concentration/attention, imagery, group cohesion and trust.
The ongoing themes encountered during the course are presented through means of handouts, group discussions and activities. By the end of the program, the participants will have gained a valuable repetiteur of tools to promote their personal, social, and mental growth and well-being. The program components are evidence-based, with several publications in international journals indicating its effectiveness in promoting a range of positive psychological dimensions, including self-esteem, self-efficacy, and personal growth.
